Roboform – Best Blogging Software for Identity Protection
It seems like the more I work from home doing internet work, the more I hear about someone’s site getting hacked. I wanted to do some research on this topic and give some safety tips so that people can avoid this invasion of privacy. So I went ahead and did research on the best blogging software for identity safety.
Hackers can get into entire websites and systems and steal your important information as well as your identity. A hacker is typically proficient in computer programming and/or engineering and knows the ins and outs of a particular system. The most vulnerable sites will be the ones that have customer and product related information on it.
If you ever experienced being a victim of a hacker, it is not fun. You have to go through hours of hours of trying to recover all your lost information. However, if your site was never backed up, you could lose everything. If the hacker was able to compromise your Google Search results, then you need to notify Google immediately with this issue.
To avoid these attacks, you need to make sure you pick a good password. The password should be frequently changed and not used on all of your sites. Backup your database with your host frequently.
When creating a password, don’t use one that can be easily looked up in the dictionary. Do not use your birthdate or street number. Your password reminder answer should also be set up like a password so that no one can guess what it is.
Don’t trust any email with the extension .exe as it probably came from a malicious source. It is suggested that you change your passwords every two weeks, but honestly, who has the time to sit around and think of passwords for hundreds of sites, especially if you are a blogger working from home. Well, you don’t have to look any further to find the best blogging software for identity safety.
Roboform was created to help you manage thousands of passwords and make your life so much easier. Not only does it manage your passwords, but it will do all of the following:
- Automatically pre-fill all of your passwords and log-in information
- By request only, it has the capabilities of generating each password for you
- You can sync all the passwords and log-in information on a personal flash drive or on Roboform’s server
- Synchronize passwords between computers
You never have to remember another password again! I thought that this software was the greatest and helps make my life so much easier.

Finally, make sure you are in constant contact with your web service provider so they can know that you are the owner of your site just in case you do happen to become a victim of criminal hacking—your service provider should be able to help you once the crime is reported.
Remember—you can only protect yourself partially from a hack attack. You are never 100% protected. If you ever find yourself a victim of site hacking in regards to your internet work—the first place I would go would be to contact Google at the following address

Google will give you tips and ways to identify what type of attack took place and some good ways to recover from it.

I finally decided to uninstall my flock browser last week as it kept crashing – then I woke up in the middle of the night and realised that all my passwords were stored in that browser! I got up and headed straight to Roboform only to find that they don’t have a mac version.
So I opted for 1Password which is for the mac. Thought your mac readers might find that useful.
