Niche Blogging Success – 8 Simple tips
If you are venturing at niche blogging to make money, there are a few certain key factors you will need to remember along the way. Even though it is easy for anyone to throw up a blog, it takes much effort to provide content that will build followers, that is unique, and quite effective. Here are some valuable tips that I have seen work since blogging and would like to share them with you.
Guidelines For Successful Niche Blogging
- Keyword focus – You have a narrow subject and you want to stay focused in on it with relevant keywords. Your content doesn’t necessarily need to be heavily populated with these, (as this will look as if you are spamming) but you want to make sure that you strengthen your niche subject by surrounding it with content that has something to do with each strongly related keyword.
- Unique content – There are so many blogs that have content that is duplicated from the internet. This is due to people just wanting to make money, and not make a difference. Many of these blogs contain PLR content that has never been re-written. You may gain visitors at first, but they will eventually start to notice this and you will not have created a long-term effective relationship. Take time out to produce unique content your visitors and the search engines will appreciate. It is very easy to check for duplicates, so this is definitely not worth risk!
- Relevant Ads – Since your purpose for niche blogging is to create income and provide the Internet with unique content, you will need ads that will target your niche subject. Affiliate ads as well as Google Adsense can make a world of a difference as long as they relate to your niche blog.
- Strong Niche – How can I make money on a subject that isn’t well-searched? Don’t get me wrong, you can create a brand and do well being unique. However, this will definitely take more time. Even when you have a strong niche, you still need to make sure that the competition isn’t too heavy in order to dominate it. A great tool for keyword research is the Micro Niche Finder. It has come in handy for me on many occasions.
- Blog Theme – I typically use WordPress supported themes. Make sure that the theme you use is SEO optimized and Google Adsense friendly, unless you are an expert at changing themes to meet your needs, I would stick with certain ones that are user-friendly. I do recommend the Woo Themes. I have never heard any complaints about them and it is very easy to use.
- Income Sources – When you learn how to monetize your blogs, take the time to create several income sources. Whether it be from Google Adsense, Ebay, Amazon, or other affiliates. Anything can happen and it is best when you are prepared and learn to continue generating income instead of completely going to a stand-still because your income was removed.
- Marketing Strategies – You will also need several different marketing approaches. How else will your ever-waiting audience know you are there? Marketing can be done by articles, your RSS feeds, etc. Learn how to market effectively in niche blogging and you will reap the benefits of your hard work.
- Content & Ad Placement – When you have visitors stop by your niche blog, they will be looking for certain information. Depending on how you place this information (ads, content, videos, etc) you have the potential to make so much more money. Many of these strategies can be learned in detail from my teacher, The Niche Blogger.
Wish you much success in your Niche blogging endeavors! Would love to hear your comments on this subject.

Loren,
You give some great tips in this post. I’m sure if you follow your own advice, you’ll be creating a nice business for yourself, as well as help others on their road to success.
Leslie
I appreciate the comment Leslie. I think the key to all of this is having fun while doing it. Every since I was introduced to IM, I notice that there are so many avenues to take, but when you are focused and have a set plan–you can’t go wrong. I haven’t had this much fun in a long time!
Loren, these are wonderful tips. Niche blogging can seem so overwhelming, and I am glad you were able to break down the steps and explain them in layman’s terms. Good job.
Lydia
I appreciate it Lydia! Sometimes a checklist or guideline helps to get you on the right track. I know it has helped me along the way. Look forward to hearing more comments from you soon.
Great Tips Loren, your are on track. Check list is necessary and that is where I am lacking. I still have a lot to learn.
No Problem Ingrid. I wrote this for myself as well. If I don’t have a checklist, I’m all over the place, especially as busy as IM work can get. Look forward to hearing back from you soon!
